There are times when a potential client wishes me to travel to their distant location, or, they wish me to be a companion to a function or 'travel companion'. In most of these cases it will involve not only considering travel to and from but also overnight or days away.
Because of this I need to calculate beforehand the cost in terms of travel and time to and from as a separate charge to time with the client. This is to be covered by a deposit up front. For local areas this starts at £40 but is added to noting mileage and time.
This is in addition to the client covering flight tickets and hotel accommodation etc.
Although local charge for overnight is £500 and cover for weekend is £1K, any period longer such as being a travel companion re holiday etc will be discounted and agreed upon up front with the client and will be expected to be paid in total at the point of meeting.
